Jenna Bright is an optometrist practising in Waterloo, Ontario. She graduated with her Doctor of Optometry degree from the University of Waterloo, School of Optometry and Vision Science, in 2011. Prior to her optometry training, she completed her Bachelor of Science in 2005 and Master’s in Vision Science in 2007, also at the University of Waterloo. Dr. Bright’s master’s thesis focused on patient-centered communication in an optometric teaching clinic. She has been involved in a number of research projects focusing on health care communication and interprofessional collaboration.
Currently, Jenna serves as the Program Manager for the International Optometric Bridging Program (IOBP) at the University of Waterloo. In this capacity, she has responsibility for faculty recruitment and program development and instructs Ethics and Communication courses within the program. Additionally, Dr. Bright assists with the Professional Ethics and Optometric Communication course within the Doctor of Optometry program.
Dr. Bright is an active member of the Waterloo-Wellington Optometric Society, Ontario Association of Optometrists and Canadian Association of Optometrists.
